Documentary on Anthony Kim's 12-Year Hiatus in the Works

Production company Propagate Content has confirmed further details of an upcoming documentary chronicling Anthony Kim's 12-year absence from professional golf and his return to competition.

What happened to Anthony Kim?

Kim was one of golf's brightest young talents in the late 2000s, winning three PGA Tour titles and making a Ryder Cup appearance before Achilles surgery in 2012. He then stepped away from competitive golf entirely for 12 years, a period that included struggles with addiction and mental health.

Kim returned to professional golf in 2024, signing with LIV Golf. His comeback included a win at LIV Golf's Adelaide event, where he held off Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau. Kim first revealed the documentary was in progress during a 2024 interview with LIV Golf broadcaster David Feherty.

Who is making the film?

The untitled project will be directed by Jody McVeigh-Schultz, whose previous credits include the docuseries "Cocaine Quarterback: Signal-Caller for the Cartel." Propagate Content has produced other sports documentaries, including Netflix's "Untold" series and "Jerry West: The Logo."

Propagate's Ben Silverman is serving as an executive producer. In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, he called Kim's story one of resilience, saying the team hopes it will show others that a comeback is always possible.
