FootJoy's New Quantum Golf Shoe Debuts With Softest Foam Yet

FootJoy's newest golf shoe puts comfort first, wrapping the company's softest foam yet inside a design built to hold up whether a golfer walks or rides.

The Quantum's upper combines that foam with a lightweight, breathable mesh, and a folded collar wraps the ankle to help keep the foot from slipping during the swing. Inside, a TruFit System tongue and an OrthoLite Impression FitBed are built to mold to the wearer's foot for a fit tailored to that golfer.

The outsole is spikeless, using a multi-dimensional traction pattern FootJoy says is aimed at the rotational and lateral forces a golf swing puts through the feet. The shoe is fully waterproof, and FootJoy gave it a sneaker-style silhouette meant to look dressier than a typical spikeless design.
