Kisner Exits Tiger Woods' TGL Team, Predicts December Return

Kevin Kisner says he's off Tiger Woods' TGL roster to clear a full-time spot for Woods, and the NBC analyst predicts Woods will return to competitive golf before the end of 2026.

Why is Kisner off Tiger's TGL team?

Kisner, the current lead analyst for NBC's PGA Tour and major championship coverage, played on Woods' Jupiter Links Golf Club team for TGL's first two seasons under a two-year contract. He told Barstool's Fore Play podcast that his deal is up and the team signed Keith Mitchell as it clears a full-season roster spot for Woods.

Kisner said Woods' longtime manager, Rob McNamara, texted him the news rather than Woods delivering it personally. "Tiger wants to play," Kisner said of the roster move.

When could Tiger Woods return to competition?

Woods has not played a professional event since his rollover car crash and DUI arrest in March, which was followed by a treatment stint and a plea deal. He has since been seen in public hitting balls.

Kisner predicted Woods will first tee it up at the Hero World Challenge, which Woods hosts and which begins Dec. 3, before playing the PNC Championship alongside his son Charlie on Dec. 17. Last week's initial Hero World Challenge field release left three spots open.
