Stewart Hagestad won his second Crump Cup title Sunday at Pine Valley Golf Club, beating Andrew Price 3 and 2 in the championship match of the 101st Crump Memorial Tournament. Hagestad, of Hermosa Beach, California, first won the event in 2023.

How did Hagestad reach the final?

Hagestad qualified as the No. 8 seed after shooting 8-over 148 in 36 holes of stroke play. He beat Chad Wilfong and Andrew Bailey in early rounds, then defeated Chris Wheeler of Lewisville, Texas, 2 and 1, in the semifinals. Price reached the final by outlasting Jeronimo Esteve of Windermere, Florida, in 19 holes. The win comes weeks after Hagestad represented the United States at the Walker Cup in Ireland.

Who else won titles at Pine Valley?

The weekend also crowned champions in the Senior Crump Cup and two flight divisions. Randy Haag of Orinda, California, took the Senior Crump Cup, beating the stroke-play medalist, the defending champion and a five-time winner along the way.
