TGL announced full rosters for its third season on Tuesday, adding a seventh team and completing a trade that sent Shane Lowry from Bay Golf Club to Boston Common Golf. The simulator league, co-founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, returns Dec. 27 at the SoFi Center in Florida.
What is new about the Season 3 rosters?
Teams now carry five players instead of four, though matches still feature three golfers per side. Motor City Golf Club joins as the league's seventh franchise, with Brooks Koepka as its first roster selection and Jackson Koivun its second. Si Woo Kim, Jake Knapp and Bud Cauley round out the expansion team.
Boston Common's trade for Lowry cost the franchise a future pick along with the fourth selection in the roster draft. Adam Scott, who played for Boston Common the first two seasons, is not on the Season 3 roster. Boston Common also returns Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley and Hideki Matsuyama, and adds Rocket Classic winner Michael Thorbjornsen, who was an alternate last year.
Which teams lost players?
New York Golf Club loses two-time major champion Xander Schauffele, though founding members Matt Fitzpatrick, Rickie Fowler and Cameron Young remain. The team adds Fitzpatrick's brother Alex and newcomer Ben Griffin. Jupiter Links drops founding member Kevin Kisner, while Atlanta Drive loses 2024 champion Lucas Glover and adds 2026 Presidents Cup player Chris Gotterup along with Wyndham Championship winner Michael Brennan.
| Team | Roster |
|---|---|
| Atlanta Drive | Justin Thomas, Billy Horschel, Patrick Cantlay, Chris Gotterup, Michael Brennan |
| Bay Golf Club | Wyndham Clark, Min Woo Lee, Ludvig Aberg, Blades Brown, Ryan Fox |
| Boston Common Golf | Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Keegan Bradley, Hideki Matsuyama, Michael Thorbjornsen |
| Jupiter Links GC | Tiger Woods, Tom Kim, Max Homa, Akshay Bhatia, Keith Mitchell |
| Los Angeles GC | Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose, Collin Morikawa, Sahith Theegala, Ben James |
| Motor City GC | Brooks Koepka, Jackson Koivun, Si Woo Kim, Jake Knapp, Bud Cauley |
| New York GC | Matt Fitzpatrick, Rickie Fowler, Cameron Young, Ben Griffin, Alex Fitzpatrick |
An expansion team built around Brooks Koepka and 20-year-old Jackson Koivun is TGL's clearest bet yet on reaching a younger golf audience.
Will Tiger Woods play in Season 3?
Woods is listed on Jupiter Links' roster as a co-founder, though his only competitive appearance in 2026 came in the TGL Finals, where Jupiter Links lost to defending champion Los Angeles Golf Club. He has not played on the PGA Tour since stepping away following a March DUI arrest. Los Angeles Golf Club returns its entire title-winning roster intact and adds PGA Tour University graduate Ben James.
TGL and ESPN have also agreed to a new multi-year broadcast deal, extending the league's television coverage beyond its original rights agreement.
