Tony Finau will finally tee it up in front of his home crowd. The six-time PGA Tour winner, a Salt Lake City native, is committed to play the Bank of Utah Championship for the first time, with the bulk of the 120-player field revealed Friday, as he tries to climb back inside the top 100 in points and preserve full status for 2027.

Why hasn't Finau played the Utah event before?

Finau, 37, serves as an ambassador for the Korn Ferry Tour event held in Utah but has been unable to play in the state the past two years. He attended West High School in Salt Lake City and won the Utah State Amateur Championship in 2006.

Who else is in the field?

The field includes defending champion Michael Brennan, 2024 winner Matt McCarty, 2009 U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover, eight-time winner Billy Horschel, six-time winners Max Homa and Chris Kirk, and five-time winner Nick Taylor, who is also competing for the International team at this week's Presidents Cup. Rising players Blades Brown, Luke Clanton and David Ford join Jackson Koivun, a member of the U.S. Presidents Cup team, in the field. Four spots remain open for a Monday qualifier.

Six other Utah-tied players join Finau: BYU sophomore Kihei Akina, St. George native Boston Bracken, BYU alum Patrick Fishburn, PGA Utah Section qualifier Zach J. Johnson, Draper's Bowen Mauss (the 2026 Utah State Amateur champion), and Zac Blair, who finished T-20 there last year.
