Golf Channel opens live coverage of the Tour Championship at 1 p.m. ET on Thursday, with CBS joining for the weekend rounds. The tournament, the PGA Tour's FedExCup finale, is being played at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.
The field is the top 30 players in the FedExCup standings, and all 30 begin the week at level par. The winner is crowned FedExCup champion and collects $10 million along with a five-year PGA Tour exemption.
Rory McIlroy is making his ninth consecutive Tour Championship start and shares the record of three titles with Tiger Woods. Viktor Hovland and Collin Morikawa are each playing their seventh Tour Championship. Six players are making their tournament debuts: Kristoffer Reitan, Alex Fitzpatrick, Ryan Gerard, Min Woo Lee, Alex Smalley and Ryan Fox. No player has successfully defended a Tour Championship title, a streak Tommy Fleetwood, ninth in the standings, will look to end.
