2026 Walker Cup: Full TV Schedule, Streaming And Start Times

Golf Channel has exclusive U.S. television coverage of the 2026 Walker Cup, the biennial amateur team matches between the United States and Great Britain and Ireland, beginning Saturday, Sept. 5, at Lahinch Golf Club in Ireland.

Why is the Walker Cup back so soon?

This is the 51st playing of the event, and the U.S. holds a 40-9-1 overall record. It comes just one year after the 2025 Walker Cup at Cypress Point, where the Americans won Sunday singles to take a 17-9 victory. The USGA and R&A shifted the competition to even years starting with this event to avoid clashing with the World Amateur Team Championships, so this is the last time it will be played in back-to-back years.

What is the match format?

Ten Americans face ten players from Great Britain and Ireland over two days. Saturday features four morning foursomes matches followed by eight singles matches. Sunday opens with four more foursomes before all 20 players compete in 10 singles matches in the afternoon.

Because of the time difference from Ireland, coverage begins in the early-morning hours in the U.S. All action airs on Golf Channel, with additional streaming available on Golfchannel.com and the Golf Channel app.
