David Lipsky split with his caddie before the final round of this week's Baycurrent Classic in Japan, the second mid-tournament caddie departure on the PGA Tour in the past month.

What happened between Lipsky and his caddie?

Lipsky's longtime caddie, Darren Woolard, parted ways with the American ahead of Sunday's final round at Yokohama Country Club. Woolard reportedly had grown frustrated working with Lipsky and told him to find another caddie for the day. It is unclear who carried Lipsky's bag for the round, though some reports pointed to his trainer filling in.

Lipsky shot a final-round 70 to finish the 72-man field in a tie for 54th at three under. Woolard has previously caddied for PGA Tour winners KH Lee and Scott Piercy. Lipsky has made 160 career PGA Tour starts and earned more than $8 million in prize money.

Has this happened before this season?

The Baycurrent split is the second mid-round caddie departure in a month. In September, Alejandro Tosti's caddie, Cliff Ellis, was seen removing his bib and walking off during the first round of the Biltmore Championship.

The Baycurrent Classic itself was won by Michael Brennan, who beat Keith Mitchell and Jacob Bridgeman by one stroke for his third career title.
