Jim Furyk Named Lead Analyst for Golf Channel's Tour Coverage

Jim Furyk has been named lead analyst for USA Sports and Golf Channel's coverage of the PGA Tour and men's major championships, the network announced Wednesday. The multi-year deal puts the 2027 U.S. Ryder Cup captain in the booth for the sport's biggest events going forward.

What Will Furyk Cover?

Under the new deal, Furyk will lead coverage of men's major championships, PGA Tour Signature events and Championship Series events, and will continue contributing to Golf Channel's Live From The Masters studio coverage. He is currently on the call for this week's Tour Championship.

What Is Furyk's Broadcasting Background?

Furyk made his debut with USA Sports in March, working early-round and weekend coverage of the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Players Championship. He went on to lead USA Sports' major championship coverage of this year's U.S. Open and British Open on USA Network, and called the Travelers Championship, where he carded the only 58 in PGA Tour history back in 2016.

What Else Is Furyk Doing in 2027?

A 17-time PGA Tour winner, Furyk was named captain of the U.S. Ryder Cup team in late April for the 46th Ryder Cup, which will be played in September 2027 at Adare Manor in Limerick, Ireland.
