Megha Ganne wins first Epson Tour title in Oregon playoff

Megha Ganne won her first professional title Sunday, beating Cholcheva Wongras on the second hole of a playoff at the Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic in Pendleton, Oregon.

How did Megha Ganne win the Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic?

Ganne, 22, closed with rounds of 68-63-66 to finish at 19 under, tying Wongras, a 19-year-old from Thailand who turned pro at 15 and already holds the Epson Tour's 72-hole scoring record. Both players birdied the first extra hole before Ganne made par on the second to close out the win. It was her seventh start as a professional.

"I won the U.S. Amateur in Oregon, and this type of scenery kind of reminded me of it," Ganne said of the playoff.

What does the win mean for Ganne's LPGA status?

The victory moved Ganne to No. 15 on the Epson Tour's Race for the Card, the cutoff line for automatic LPGA status in 2027. A former Stanford standout, she helped the Cardinal win the NCAA Championship in May before making her professional debut at the U.S. Women's Open at Riviera. Ganne earned her Epson Tour card through the LPGA Collegiate Advancement Pathway after winning the 2026 Inkster Award, and won the U.S. Women's Amateur at Bandon Dunes almost exactly a year earlier.
