PGA Tour Caddie Changes: Rose, Dunlap Swap Bags

Two caddie changes are reshaping bags on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour this week. Justin Rose's longtime caddie Mark Fulcher is out for the rest of the season after a hip injury, and two-time PGA Tour winner Nick Dunlap has parted ways with his caddie ahead of the Biltmore Championship Asheville.

Why is Mark Fulcher off Justin Rose's bag?

Fulcher announced on Instagram on Sept. 9 that hip surgery would end his season, closing out a campaign that included Rose's win at the Farmers Insurance Open in January. "Sadly going to have to skip the rest of the season," Fulcher wrote, adding he's targeting a return at the Amex event in January 2027. David Clark, who most recently caddied for Stephen Jaeger, is filling in for Rose this week at the BMW PGA Championship.

Who is caddying for Nick Dunlap now?

Dunlap, 22, has Jeff Curl on the bag this week after splitting with Hunter Hamrick, his caddie since Dunlap's amateur win at the 2024 American Express. Hamrick, a former University of Alabama golfer who coached Dunlap in college, told Golfweek he is weighing his next move. Curl, son of former Tour pro Rod Curl, first met Dunlap when he was 10 years old and caddied for his 2021 U.S. Junior Amateur and 2023 U.S. Amateur wins; it isn't yet clear if the change is permanent. Dunlap has made just seven cuts in 18 starts this season and enters the week 167th in the FedEx Cup standings.

Elsewhere, journeyman pro Tom Gillis, 58, has joined Tom Hoge's bag full-time after leaving George McNeil's PGA Tour Champions team at the Wyndham Championship. Gillis made 92 PGA Tour Champions starts along with 188 PGA Tour and 99 Korn Ferry Tour appearances over his career.
