The PXG Lightning Tour Mid, the driver used by Aldrich Potgieter, the PGA Tour's longest hitter in 2026, is $200 off at PGA Tour Superstore as part of an Amazon Prime Day sale, a 31% discount.
Why is Potgieter's driver notable?
Potgieter, a 22-year-old from South Africa, leads the PGA Tour in driving distance this season at 331.9 yards, 1.6 yards ahead of second-place Rory McIlroy. He signed an equipment deal with PXG at the start of 2026 and switched to the Lightning Tour Mid, which the company says has added roughly seven yards to his drives. He had previously used PXG's Secret Weapon mini driver before signing with the brand.
What are the Lightning Tour Mid's specs?
The driver uses a Frequency Tuned Face and three adjustable weights, two toward the front and one at the back, to let players dial in spin and launch. PXG designed the head with a classic, slightly rounded profile at address and markets it as a blend of the forgiving Lightning Max 10K+ and the lower-spinning, more powerful Lightning Tour.
Reviewers have found the Lightning Tour Mid offers tight dispersion and strong forgiveness across the Frequency Tuned Face, though some testing has clocked its ball speed one to two miles per hour slower than the TaylorMade Qi4D and Callaway Quantum.
Are other PXG drivers discounted too?
Yes. PGA Tour Superstore has also marked down the Lightning Max 10K+, the standard Lightning Tour and the Secret Weapon mini driver for Prime Day.
