Ryann O'Toole sits on Aon lead, ends LPGA season pregnant

Ryann O'Toole has finished her 2026 LPGA season while leading the tour's Aon Risk Reward Challenge, choosing to protect her spot in the $1 million standings rather than play out the fall.

Why is O'Toole skipping the rest of the season?

The 30-year-old is pregnant with her first child, due Jan. 16, and wrapped up her competitive schedule at the FM Championship. She had considered playing in Hawaii but decided to sit on her lead atop the Aon standings instead. "Having enough qualifying rounds and sitting at the top I feel I should now just sit on the lead and hope no one catches it," O'Toole wrote in a text.

What is the Aon Risk Reward Challenge?

Launched in 2019, the Aon Risk Reward Challenge designates one strategically demanding hole at each LPGA event each season. Players count their two best scores from those holes, and whoever posts the best average score to par when the season ends wins $1 million. O'Toole currently leads world No. 2 Jeeno Thitikul in the race after competing in 14 events this season, with five top-25 finishes and $390,006 in earnings.

O'Toole, who won the 2021 Scottish Open, has earned $4.7 million since joining the LPGA Tour in 2011. She is currently 69th on the CME points list and secured her 2026 card with a share of third at Q-School last December.

What happens if someone else wins the Aon race?

The standings remain open until the LPGA season concludes, so a late push from another player, including Thitikul, could still overtake O'Toole's average. O'Toole has said her pregnancy has already cost her distance and power, noting she has dropped roughly a club through the bag over the second trimester.
