Scott Jamieson wins Nexo Championship, first title in 14 years

Scott Jamieson won the Nexo Championship on Sunday at Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire, beating Matthew Jordan by two shots and ending a wait of almost 14 years for a second DP World Tour title. The 42-year-old Scot's only previous win came at the 2012 Nelson Mandela Championship.

How did Scott Jamieson win the Nexo Championship?

Jamieson began the final round third at six under, one behind Jordan and three behind overnight leader Shaun Norris. Jordan moved to the front early with birdies at the first, third and seventh, while Jamieson stayed in range with birdies at the fourth and seventh.

The round turned on the front nine. Jordan made double bogey at the ninth, and Norris learned walking to the 10th tee that he had been given a two-stroke penalty for improving his stance by removing a replaced divot at the fifth. That dropped the South African to a share of third and left Jamieson leading by one.

He extended it at once, birdieing the 10th and 11th to reach 10 under. A bogey at the 13th let Jordan back within one, but Jamieson birdied the 14th and closed with pars, including an up-and-down from a bunker at the 17th.

“Fourteen years, that's wild,” Jamieson said afterwards.

What is the Nexo Championship purse?

The tournament played for $3 million in its second year at Trump International, up from $2.75 million in 2025, when Grant Forrest won by four and collected $467,500. Forrest was 11 shots off the lead with a round to play in his defence.
