Srixon has launched its ZXi RKT fairway woods, priced at $379.99 each, combining a new face design with the brand's first adjustable sole weight and hosel sleeve system in a fairway wood.
What technology is in the ZXi RKT fairway woods?
Srixon says the RKT Face is built with variable thickness, thicker in the center and thinner around the perimeter, to widen the sweet spot and protect ball speed on off-center hits. A Rebound Frame creates flexing zones in the chassis beyond the face itself, which Srixon says increases energy transfer, ball speed and distance. A Variable Roll Design alters the curvature of the face to reduce the severity of a hook off high-toe contact, a common miss from uneven lies.
What can golfers adjust?
Each club ships with a 10-gram sole weight compatible with a 12-position adjustable hosel, letting fitters change loft by up to 1.5 degrees in either direction along with swing weight and launch. Fitters can also swap in weights ranging from 2 to 16 grams to fine-tune distance gapping between the fairway wood and a golfer's driver or longest iron. Both the 15-degree 3-wood and 13.5-degree 3+-wood use a lightweight carbon-fiber crown, letting Srixon reposition mass lower in the head.
Who is the ZXi RKT built for?
Srixon developed the compact head shape with its own Tour staff, refining face depth, crown height and face angle for accomplished players, while the face technology and adjustability are aimed at helping a broader range of swing speeds hold ball speed on mis-hits and dial in their gapping.
