Stacy Lewis has welcomed her second child, a daughter named Ella, the retired two-time major champion announced this week during the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship.
Lewis retired from competitive golf last year, ending a career that included 13 LPGA Tour victories, two major championships, two Rolex Player of the Year awards and two Vare Trophies for the tour's lowest scoring average. She announced her retirement at the same Arkansas event in 2024.
"NWA Championship is looking a little different this year," Lewis wrote on social media, marking her first absence from a field she had played every year since the tournament's 2007 debut.
Lewis won that inaugural edition as an amateur, when the event was shortened by weather to a single round and the result was declared unofficial. That same year she won the NCAA Championship while playing collegiately at Arkansas, a program she helped put on the national map.
A former world No. 1 and two-time U.S. Solheim Cup captain, in 2023 and 2024, Lewis remains the most recent mother to win on the LPGA Tour, a feat she achieved at the 2020 Scottish Open. She competed for years while managing scoliosis, a condition she has discussed publicly throughout her career.
