Titleist Leads Iron Count Among 2026 Tour Championship Field

Thirty players will tee off this week at East Lake Golf Club for the Tour Championship, the PGA Tour's season finale, and Titleist irons show up in more of their bags than any other brand.

Which Brand Has the Most Irons at the Tour Championship?

Titleist irons are in play in 18 of the 30 bags, spread across seven models. Wyndham Clark, Ludvig Åberg and Adam Scott carry the more forgiving T350, T250 or T200 at the top of their sets, while seven players use the T100. Cameron Young is an outlier, playing a custom 631.CY prototype built to his own specifications.

TaylorMade and Callaway are tied for second, each in 11 bags. TaylorMade's bags contain nine different sets, including five P Series models: the P7TW, P7CB, P730, P760 and P770. Rory McIlroy plays custom-ground TaylorMade Rors Protos. Callaway's 11 bags split across seven sets of Apex and X Forged models, with X Forged typically at the top of the set and Apex MB or TCB reserved for the scoring irons.

Srixon follows with eight bags, including World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler's. Ping has six bags across four models, ranging from the new i240 to a 13-year-old S55 still carried by Matt Fitzpatrick.

What Is the Justin Rose and McLaren Golf Story?

Rose signed with McLaren Golf, the Formula 1 team's equipment brand, at the end of April and helped develop its first iron models, the Series 1 and Series 3. Since the switch, he has a top-10 finish at the PGA Championship and four other top-25s, including a tie for 11th at the U.S. Open and a tie for 12th at the Memorial Tournament.

A Formula 1 brand now has irons in the bag of a major champion, going head to head with a century of established golf manufacturers.

Which Other Bags Stand Out?

Jacob Bridgeman still plays the decade-old Titleist TP UDI utility iron he used to win the Genesis Invitational in February. Gary Woodland carries Cobra's King Tour and King MB irons alongside a Wilson Staff Model Utility 3-iron. Chris Gotterup, who has three wins this season, is the field's only player with Bridgestone irons, a set of Tour B 220 MB.
