Miyu Yamashita ties LPGA scoring record in nine-shot CPKC win

Miyu Yamashita won the 2026 CPKC Women's Open by nine strokes at Royal Mayfair Golf Club in Edmonton, Alberta, closing at 257 to match the LPGA's 72-hole scoring record set by Sei Young Kim in 2018. The world No. 7 opened with a 62 and led throughout, taking $412,500 from a $2.75 million purse for her fourth LPGA title.
Who else cashed at the CPKC Women's Open?
Yuri Yoshida finished alone in second, ending a run of six straight missed cuts. Gina Kim came in on the same streak and tied for fourth, alongside 17-year-old Canadian Anna Huang, who has four Ladies European Tour wins and earned a start at next week's FM Championship.
Aphrodite Deng, 16 and an amateur, shared seventh and took no prize money. Laney Frye birdied the last two to join her there. Kiara Romero's professional debut faded late: an opening 64, then bogey-bogey-double over the last three holes to fall to a tie for 24th.
