Bone Valley Opens for Preview Play at Streamsong This Month

David McLay Kidd's newest course, Bone Valley at Streamsong Resort in Florida, opens for preview play in late September, with a full grand opening set for Jan. 26, 2027.

Kidd, the architect behind Gamble Sands in Washington, Mammoth Dunes at Sand Valley in Wisconsin and the original Bandon Dunes layout in Oregon, designed Bone Valley as a full-sized 18 built with wide fairways and playability for less-skilled golfers in mind.

What makes Bone Valley different?

The course sits on land once used for phosphate mining, where megalodon shark teeth have turned up in leftover sand piles. Kidd said the layout still challenges better players who stray from the ideal lines. "She is going to put up a fight against scoring," he said.

Bone Valley becomes the fourth course at Streamsong, joining the resort's Red, Blue and Black courses in Bowling Green, Florida.
