Charley Hull Reveals Story Behind Her First Tattoo

Charley Hull has shared the story behind her first tattoo, a reminder from a drunken night out in Ibiza as a teenager that almost ended up on her forehead instead of her foot.

How did Charley Hull get her first tattoo?

Hull said she was 17 and out partying in Ibiza with a friend named James when she decided, on the walk back to the hotel, that she wanted their shared catchphrase, "Hold tight," tattooed across her forehead. James talked her out of it, and the tattoo went on her foot instead, with James getting a matching one on his arm.

Hull did not remember getting the tattoo until the next morning, when James explained what had happened the night before. "I was like, 'What? I got a tattoo?'" Hull said.

What other tattoos does Charley Hull have?

Hull has three tattoos in total. Her second is her ex-husband's name on her wrist, which she said she has tried to have removed. Her third is a lightning bolt that matches one worn by fellow English pro Georgia Hall.
