The Epson Tour Championship will remain at Indian Wells Golf Resort through 2029 after the LPGA developmental tour and the City of Indian Wells agreed to a three-year extension, keeping the season-ending event in the California desert for at least six consecutive years.
What changes under the new agreement?
Starting in 2027, every player in the field will receive a complimentary hotel room at a local resort during tournament week. The final two rounds and the LPGA card ceremony will be livestreamed, and the Epson Tour will add a Champions Dinner honoring each winner from throughout the season.
Robin Graf, general manager of Indian Wells Golf Resort, called the extension an opportunity to keep "showcasing its exceptionally talented players" as they compete for LPGA Tour status.
Why does the venue matter to the field?
The tournament first arrived in Indian Wells in 2024 as the city looked to showcase the municipal facility and lay groundwork for a possible LPGA return to the Coachella Valley. The LPGA later expanded Epson Tour cards from 10 to 15, raising the stakes of the season finale.
This year's event returns Oct. 1-4 to the resort's Players Course, which underwent a renovation led by original architect John Fought and was completed in December 2025. The project redesigned the finishing stretch, relocating the 17th and 18th holes for a more connected close and moving the ninth hole nearer the clubhouse. The tournament was played on the resort's Celebrity Course in 2025 during the construction. The 80-player, no-cut field competes over 72 holes for a $300,000 purse, with the winner earning a tournament-record $100,000.
