The Florida Gators open the 2026-27 college golf season ranked No. 1 in the Bushnell/Golfweek NCAA Division I men's coaches poll, drawing 14 of the available first-place votes and 573 total points.

Florida was also the preseason No. 1 in polls released separately by Golfweek and Golf Channel. Auburn, the defending national champion after winning the NCAA title last May, opens at No. 2. Oklahoma State, Arizona State and Texas Tech round out the top five.

Who else received votes?

Virginia led the group of teams receiving votes outside the top five with 66 points, followed by USC (49), Clemson (39), Duke (16), New Mexico (15) and Kansas (11). The full poll spans NCAA Division I, II and III programs as well as the NAIA, NJCAA Division I and NJCAA Division II.

The Golf Coaches Association of America, which oversees the poll, will update the rankings throughout the fall portion of the season.
