USA Holds Off Europe to Win 2026 Junior Solheim Cup

The United States held off a furious European rally Tuesday to win the 2026 Ping Junior Solheim Cup, 13-11, at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands — the same course hosting this week's Solheim Cup.

How did the United States win the Junior Solheim Cup?

The Americans built a commanding lead in Monday's foursomes and four-ball sessions, taking 9½ of the 12 points available and needing only 2½ more from Tuesday's 12 singles matches to clinch the title. Europe answered with a rally led by Annabel Peaford, who beat U.S. Women's Amateur champion Asterisk Talley in the day's lead singles match, and the Europeans took 8½ of the 12 singles points. It wasn't enough to overcome the Monday deficit.

What is the Junior Solheim Cup?

The biennial event pits 12 top American juniors against 12 European counterparts across foursomes, four-ball and singles matches. This was the first time it was played on the same course as that year's Solheim Cup. The U.S. now leads the all-time series 9-4-1. Past competitors include Rose Zhang, Carlota Ciganda, Linn Grant, Lexi Thompson and the Korda sisters, all of whom went on to play in the Solheim Cup itself.
